ETA Status Check

When you apply for your ETA Visa and after your application has been processed, you will be sent an email which states that your application has been accepted or declined.

If your application has been declined, you must go in person to the nearest Australian embassy to apply again. Often your name and birthday are similar to someone who is on the "alert" list.

If your application has been Accepted then you will receive a confirmation email which lists your REFERENCE Number in DDMMMYY/xxxx format.

ETA stands for Electronic Travel Authority which means that your visa is electronic and NO stamp is put in your passport. Please remember this.

HOW TO CONFIRM YOUR ETA VISA

If we have approved your application, then IT IS APPROVED. Simply take your passport to the Check In counter when you are ready to travel to Australia, tell them that you have an ETA Visa and they will be able to electronically confirm via their computer system and allow you to board the plane or ship.
